VidDay Pricing (2026): What a Group Video Costs, and Is It Free?
By Moé, co-founder of VoiceHug. Prices checked October 2026 on VidDay's pricing page.
VidDay is free to set up, collect clips and edit, and you can preview the full video before paying. You pay when you want to download the finished video, and the price depends on how long it is: $5 for up to 3 minutes, $15 for up to 10 minutes, and $15 more for each extra 10 minutes, capped at $60.
Below is what that means for a real group, what the memberships cost, and how VidDay compares with Tribute, Memento and an audio-only option.
VidDay prices per video
| Final video length | Price |
|---|---|
| Up to 3 minutes | $5 |
| 3 to 10 minutes | $15 |
| Each additional 10 minutes | +$15 |
| Maximum | $60 (videos up to 150 minutes) |
You pay once per video. Contributors don't pay anything.
How much will my video cost?
The length is what you pay for, so it depends on how many people take part and how long each clip runs. Clips of 20 to 60 seconds are typical.
| Group | Clip length | Total length | VidDay price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 people | 20 seconds | about 3 minutes | $5 |
| 15 people | 30 seconds | about 8 minutes | $15 |
| 25 people | 40 seconds | about 17 minutes | $30 |
| 40 people | 45 seconds | about 30 minutes | $45 |
| 60 people | 1 minute | about 60 minutes | $60 |
Photos and title cards add time too, so leave some margin. If the video goes slightly over a boundary (say 10 minutes 20 seconds), you pay for the next band unless you trim it.
VidDay memberships
If you make several videos a year, VidDay sells memberships, billed annually:
| Membership | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | $59.99 a year ($4.99 a month), listed down from $99.99 | 6 videos a year, photo upscaling, priority processing, unlimited remakes, eCards |
| Business | $237.99 a year ($19.99 a month) | 30 videos a year, branded intro and theme |
| Custom | From $29.99 a month | 30+ videos a year |
The Personal membership pays for itself once you'd otherwise buy about four 10-minute videos in a year.
Is VidDay free?
Partly. Creating the project, inviting people, collecting clips and editing are free, and VidDay says you can preview your full video before you pay. Getting the final HD video costs from $5 to $60. So it's a reasonable choice when you're happy to pay at the end, but not if you need something free.

For a short video with a small group, VidDay is the cheapest of the three. For long videos, or if you want someone else to do the editing, Tribute's Concierge plan is the simpler option.
A free alternative: a group voice gift
Video works when people are comfortable on camera. Many aren't: they put it off, re-record five times, or skip it. That's the main reason group videos come in with fewer people than were invited.
VoiceHug is built around voice instead. Each person records a short message from a link (or sends a WhatsApp voice note), and VoiceHug joins them into one audio gift with the volume evened out.
- Free for up to 6 people (the organizer plus 5 contributors).
- $9.99 one time for bigger groups, no matter how long the recording is.
- 30-day money-back guarantee.
- No app or account for contributors.
| VidDay | VoiceHug | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Video montage | Audio gift |
| 6 people | $5 | Free |
| 25 people, about 17 minutes | $30 | $9.99 |
| 60 people, about 60 minutes | $60 | $9.99 |
| Price depends on length | Yes | No |
| Contributors need to be on camera | Yes, unless they send a photo instead | No |
If photos and faces matter most, VidDay is the right tool. If what matters is hearing the people who love them, a voice gift costs less and more people actually record.
